Miejskie lake promenade
Persons longing for active recreation are welcome to see the Złotów Promenade. On foot or by bike, you can take a leisurely stroll or jog all the way around the Miejskie lake whose approximate area is 47 ha. The promenade - the hiking and cycling trail - is 4 km long, 4 m wide, and is fully illuminated. Along the way, we pass by a wooden footbridge over the Głomia river, the “Kaczkomat” bird feed dispenser from which it is possible to buy proper food for waterfowls and the viewing platform, from which one can see the town panorama. The trail is divided into lanes for walkers and cyclists.
The Promenade leads us to the Półwysep Rybacki peninsula, a vast green and recreational area. Here, we find a shrub labyrinth, information boards with the town history, the noble houses ruling over Złotów and archaeological discoveries in the Złotów castle which was destroyed by Swedes. The peninsula features an outdoor ”street workout” gym and a vast playground for children with recreational equipment accessible to the disabled.
You are welcome to visit an ethnographic open air museum - Zagroda Krajeńska - with a farmer’s cottage, a wooden barn and a shed. There is also an operational forge powered by a waterwheel and a municipal bike rental. In the Spring-Summer season, on the side of the recreational bridges near the Połwysep Rybacki peninsula. there are three illuminated fountains on the surface of the lake.
